You're on to something with the looks. But I'll take the M178 over the M156/M159 any day. Both sound amazing, Both have nearly instantaneous torque. But the M178 will have a much higher power output down the road. From what I know about it I suspect its safe power limit is somewhere in the range of 700-800hp, and I don't mean what RennTech will tune it to.

Bah! M178 weighs less and could probably make more power. And if you really want a V12, I would hold out for a new one. I asked about one based onthe M157, and was told from a man very high up in AMG, with a big smile on his face "I can't confirm or deny anything at this point". I personally take that to mean ""Hell yeah we're making a new V12 and its going to be AWESOME!".
